Cancellation of Wedding Contract Policy

 

There are times when a wedding date must be postponed or cancelled completely.  The following refund schedule will determine your possible refund.

Please know that we have a way so that you will be able to use your entire deposit on a future wedding date:  Contract Roll-Over form.  This contract will allow you to apply all of your deposit(s) to a new wedding date.  The new wedding can be in the same year or a different year and it does not have to be the same parties to the contract.  So before you request a refund, please consider the Roll-Over option.

 

If a complete cancellation is the only option, the following deposit schedule will determine the amount of a refund.

(1) If you cancel and sign the Release 240 days or more before the scheduled wedding date, you will receive a deposit refund of 40% of the deposit paid.

(2) If you cancel at least 181 days but less 240 days before the wedding date, you will receive a deposit refund of 30% of the deposit paid.

(3) If you cancel at least 90 days but less than 181 days before the wedding date, you will receive a deposit refund of 20% of the deposit paid.

(4) If you cancel less than 90 days before the wedding date, you will receive a refund of $100 of the deposit paid.

To qualify for a refund, you must come to the Studio and sign a Cancellation Form.  You must also return all materials that you have received from the Studio such as Price List Booklet, Wedding Schedule and Checklist, Contract, etc.

 

The amount of the refund is determined by the "cancellation date" in relation to the wedding date; it is NOT determined by the booking reservation date.  Therefore, should you cancel your wedding the next day after paying the deposit, your refund is determined by the wedding date and the fact that your deposit is less than 24 hours old is irrelevant. 

 

Any monies retained from the deposit(s) are retained as liquidated damages suffered by the Studio.
